Medical term for producing sperm
A vasectomy is surgery to cut the vas deferens. These are the tubes that carry a sperm from testicles to the urethra. After a vasectomy, sperm cannot move out of the testes. A man who has had a successful vasectomy cannot make a woman pregnant. Vasectomy is most often done in the surgeon's office using local anesthesia. You will be awake, but not feel any pain.

Azoospermia Definition & Meaning - Merriam-Webster
Spermatogenesis is the process by which haploid spermatozoa develop from germ cells in the seminiferous tubules of the testis. This process starts with the mitotic division of the stem cells located close to the basement membrane of the tubules. The mitotic division of these produces two types of cells. Type A cells replenish the stem cells, and type B cells differentiate into primary spermatocytes. The primary spermatocyte divides meiotically Meiosis I into two secondary spermatocytes; each secondary spermatocyte divides into two equal haploid spermatids by Meiosis II.

His primary patients — the players — are all male , mostly very young, and of course extraordinarily athletic. Almost nine in every 10 male skeletons showed signs of cut marks that occurred around the time of death — as did eight in 10 of the fe male skeletons. The testes are where sperm are produced. The testes are linked to the rest of the male reproductive organs by the vas deferens, which extends over the base of the pelvic bone or ilium, and wraps around to the ampulla, seminal vesicle, and prostate. The urethra then runs from the bladder through the penis. Along the top of each testicle is the epididymis.
